I think the LS2 will actually benefit from a CAI.
I'm not familiar with the Blackwing....just make sure that it's an actual CAI, or you do the mods to let in cool air.
Don't get "sucked" in to a big filter that does not get air from a source other than from the engine compartment. A BIGGER filter just allows more Hot air in quicker and does nothing for you. I made my own like some of the others here. Good Luck.

Hi
Then the Vararam fits the bill if not enlighten me.
No, only different ones for LS3s or LS7s etc, all LS2 Vararams are the same. I was just using the actual name ('Snake Charmer') that Vararam gives to their C6 versions.

Ok so far?
Yes. Programming the fans/dyno tuning to correspond with the thermostat will help even more of course.
If you are buying it for performance save your money. 5HP is less that the margin of error of the dyno.
I have has 4 different ones since I bought my car new in 2006. K&N, Airaid, Vararam and a Halltec Super Bee. The Super Bee is a keeper.
It has a cover to stop heat from the engine.
it shows no gain on the dyno, but has been proven at the 1/4 mile, if your a dyno racer save your money and stay stock, but if you actually race get the vararam its proven
