I have a set of 17 inch z06 rims, 9 or 10 inches wide if I remember right and I'm looking at the Hoosier 28x10x17. I can't get an answer on if they will fit from research. I have an 09 base no widebody. Also if they don't fit, any recommendations on what to do to make them fit? Also what other tire may you recommend, looking to kind of fill the gap area on the car so I really don't want a small thin tire. Thanks!

What is the offset of the rims and the actual width of the rims.
Wide body to standard body already tells us that the tire will be sticking out past the fenders when you mount the z06 rims on the narrow body car, which is bad, since the first hard dip you hit, kiss the fenders good by.

Not c6z rims lol They are 10 inches wide. Chrome c5z rims.
If the wheels are chrome, they're aftermarket. You'll have to measure the offset or find that info from the mfg. If they're the same as GM C5 Z06 fronts, they'll work fine with a 275 wide tire, but rub/crack the fender with 315's.
Since you seem concerned with the gap, it sounds like appearance is a bigger deal than performance. If this is for racing, the Hoosier DR in a 275 width will work well. If it's for the street, MT's are a better choice.
They are the same specs as a front c5z rim. I only put about 1500 miles a year on the car and 3/4 of it is down to Mexico for the night doing 40s and what not. So what you're saying is that it will rub? Can I raise the rear on the stock bolts enough not to? Or spacers?
