What's this thing?
Anybody know what this is? I have four of them attached to the frame on my 2008 Corvette convertible Z51. This picture is from the one (sort of) under the brake reservoir.

09 vert here, got the same thing, just not as shiny as yours, more blackish like the frame color.
looks like it can be opened to access something, not sure what, maybe access to a screw underneath? did not want to mess with it,
my 2 best guesses:
- maintenance related,
- manufacturing related,
someone needs to open that

The are clips that hold the carriage bolts in place while you are dropping or installing the front or rear cradle so you don't have to have 10 hands trying to do the job.
