I've had them both on my Z along with quite a few others. They're both good it just depends on what type of sound you're going for. I installed the regular Fusion II's and had them for sale on The Forum the next day. They were too quiet for me when open, I need a louder exhaust. They were fine when closed and had very little drone.
When I installed the Fusion III's I new right away that it was going to be my last exhaust. It has a really throaty growl type sound when open, quite loud, and when closed there's little to no drone. My Z has cam, Pfadt headers and a few other performance upgrades and when I start it up it really sounds great. I guess the best description would be that the III is louder open and quieter closed. I'm done buying mufflers.

Fusion III's are it. I found my best deal at Southern Car Parts. It may take a few weeks to get them but they have great prices. You may also look out for the coupon codes they have sometimes, save you another $50.00 or so.
