Stock pump is fine, and you can port it and even drop in a spacer shim below the relief spring if you want to bump the oil pressure a tad.
The real problem is the size of the pick up tube screen openings, and if you have taken the time to understand why the relief valves get stuck open and you lose oil pressure (RTV debris that find there way into the pump from the rebuild), better time would be spend on it.
