Default going from FI to NA

so I am taking my previous procharged engine back to NA looking to make around 500. Car will see a lot of road course time. It is a stock ls2 bottom end with ported ls3 heads and intake, 1 7/8 LTH, just had new cam spec'd from tick.

Taking a poll on whether I should replace my head gaskets. Currently running ls9 which are .051 thick with 69 cc putting me around 10:1. Should I bother trying to raise the CP for my goals or leave it be?

I would ask Tick since you are already a customer of theirs.

This is unheard of.

But my initial opinion would be yes bump the CR up a little.

What did they recommend?

Your current 10:1 CR is slightly lower than the stock LS2's 10.9:1. So bumping the compression back up to at least stock ratio, I'd prefer higher, would theoretically add some power and increase throttle response. But, Tick knows way more than I ever will and they're the ones working on your car, so.....

I too would like to see higher as well but not sure what the return will be. Not much more work as motor is ripped apart now and gaskets are cheap

I am making close to 500rw with an automatic 373 gears with the 243 heads ported milled and serdi valve job on the factory valves and fast 90, a stick and ls3 heads should do it easily
