Default Yellow Plug in module under driver's seat

Hello All!
I need some help please. The yellow plug in module that is clipped to a bar under the driver's seat in my 2009 coupe came unclipped and when the automatic seats retracted, the wires, which were now resting on the seat tracks, were cut. The module has the number 4038 written in black marker on one side. The wires are cut so short that I cannot solder or otherwise re-connect. Can anyone tell me the correct part number or name to ask or search for or, better yet, where I can purchase this module? I am attaching photos of what it looks like unclipped in the floor board and also a photo to show where the connection is made under the driver's seat. I'd like to remedy this problem while I am doing the 2012 seat conversion. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I went to a local Cadillac/Chevrolet dealership here in Suffolk, VA that advertises that "It's all about YOU (the customer). I guess someone forgot to tell the parts counterman because when I told him what I needed and for what vehicle, he looked at me like I had 9 heads, continued his conversation with a co-worker and never did help me! THANKS!

Guessing that the wire cuts are under the black tape???

Is so, plenty of wire still remaining to just solder the wires back together with heat shrink to make the needed repairs.

No, the photos with the yellow module under the seat is not the problem...that plug in is fine. The problem is with the yellow plug in part that you see in the photos in the floor pan. That yellow plugin snaps into the section you see in the seat photos. The problem is the wires in that yellow section were cut too short. I cannot solder nor reconnect them to the yellow unit..so there is no electrical connection when the two yellow units are snapped together. I need to replace the yellow unit that attaches to the wires coming up from the floor pan. Module name or number would help me order it or have a place of business find it for me.

That connector is for the side air bag and seatbelt pretensioner connection to the instrument panel. The OEM part number is 15304649. There is also a service number (15306061), which is most likely for that replacement part. The connector doesn't appear to be OEM.
Those white wires are not OEM. Someone (GM dealer?) has already modified that harness, probably due to a customer complaint that the air bag light was illuminated.

Exactly where are the ends of the wires that are cut too short? The photo doesn't show that very well.

After you repair and re-install the seat, use a wire tie to secure the connector to the seat crossbar to prevent future problems.

Ask your dealer to print pages 11-360 and 11-361 from the 2008 Service Manual or the equivalent ones from the 2009 edition. It'll show you which OEM wires plug into the correct location. You don't want to guess, since the wrong match could fire the air bag and ruin the new seats.

Wow! It is amazing how quickly information is shared on this forum! Thank you, sir! All the wires you see were there when I removed the seat. I have not added any, so the previous owner may have had a problem with the air bag light being illuminated. To answer your question about where the wire were cut too short...it is difficult to show in the photo because some of the wires were cut even with the yellow module so there was little to no wire protruding from the various openings. With the pages you have referenced, I think I should be able to trace the wiring and make the correct connections. You are correct...I do NOT want to activate side air bags nor do I want to ruin what I believe is going to be a beautiful 2012 two tone seat conversion (crystal red metallic and light titanium) instead of the 2009 all light titanium interior.
Once again, THANK YOU, HOXXOH!

The terminal clips inside the connector can be removed with a small pick or paperclip. You can buy new ones and re-install the wires into the new clips and re-insert in the same connector
http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/O_E...ells_s/259.htm

or maybe the GM dealer will have the pigtail connector instock for the airbag/seat belt tensioner.

There are you tube videos showing how to remove the wire terminal clip from the plug connector

Thanks to all who responded so promptly to my problem. The part number was indeed 15306061 and was ordered today...cost $54.06. The gentleman at the Chevy parts counter actually listened when I began speaking and told me what I needed before I finished talking.

I appreciate everyone's assistance and input.

FYIany yellow connector on a GM vehicle is for the supplemental restraint system. Exercise caution when working with these circuits
