TJ, in Nov of 2012 with 41700 miles on my stock 2006 Vette the left axle broke. Last week at 51900 the right axle broke. The car is not a daily drive nor do I smoke the tires. Axles should not brake. Your thought on axles braking
An '06 has no warranty left, and you may not be the first owner---are you? If that's the case, you probably don't know how the car was treated by the prior owner (s).
Even if you did know, or you are the original owner, things break.
Should rear axles both break at 51K miles after 9+ years of life? Maybe not. But it's mechanical, it's a car part(s) not sitting on a shelf, things break eventually. Yours was just a little bit sooner. Best explanation I can think of. Hope you get it fixed.
Secone owner, got the car with 10k on the OD, know the first owner car was treated well.
Both axles breaking, give me a break!
Car is back on the road.
