Hi all,
I did a wide body conversion on my 2005 base. Z06 sized rubber all around.
My question: If I do not change the sway bars and shocks, will it cause any damage to suspension?
I understand that I am sacrificing track/cornering performance by not doing the sway bars and shocks.
Thanks!

I have a 2005 running Z06 rims/tires, I have the Z06 sway bars, Bilstein shocks and base springs. Honestly, it is actually a pretty good compromise, very little body roll and you don't get the harsh ride of the stiffer springs. That being said, I don't believe you will damage anything. However, from what I understand the Z06/GS sway bars are specifically tuned for the wider tires as well as the difference in tire size between front/rear. So if anything I would definitely recommend picking up a set of Z06/GS sway bars. Hope this helps!

Thanks Ataractic. Yes, that does help. I'm going to keep my eye on the 4sale area for someone swapping out their Z06/GS sway bars for something stiffer.
