Which tires?
I have been searching threads and doing research on these two tires
Nitto Invo's and Toyo Proxes T1 Sport.
My driving style: Aggressive, mostly street. Mountain runs, hard in turns. Minimal spinning but I do kick it sideways ever so often. Drag strip (no burnouts) about 5 times each summer, usually do 2/3 passes.
Tire Goals: Overall good tire, performance oriented but I would like to be able to get 30k miles at least. Car is not driven in rain/snow; only dry conditions.
Saw many high reviews for the Invo's and I love the tread pattern. Tread wear and tread life was rated high.
Proxes have around the same tread wear rating if not higher. Not as many reviews found.

My experience, tires with good grip last 10k miles, high mileage tires don't have grip.
Good sticky tires will corner and hold traction one gear lower, stick in second gear vs. spin in second gear. So, you have to choose.
On my Vette, I have 8k miles on my Bridgesone RE-11s, they still have about 1/2 tread depth left after 9 PDS days, tires are quiet.
My BMW 135 with Dunlop Z2s has gotten noisy because of the tread pattern, maybe better grip dry but questionable in the rain.

I recently picked up some mint grand sport wheels and the search for tires has left me with some pain in my wallet lol and I haven't even bought them yet! So worth it though, I can't wait to have these 19x12's on!

In all seriousness that is a really good question, I'm stealing that from you when my buddies start talking about some crazy stuff...
I agree with you completely though, the tire is the most important aspect. I take it easy with new tires, test them slowly to ensure they hold up. I've rode motorcycles for a while and learned really fast to test tires slowly and ease into them! On a side note, I never go over certain speeds on the streets.. Way too dangerous.

That is what I had on my 2005 C6. Loved it. I have thought about getting the same for my 2013 GS but with only 6k miles on the stock tires, I just don’t feel like spending money to replace basically almost new tires. But man do these stock Goodyear tires suck.
