I know the approx. rebuild costs if you ship your TR6060 out for rebuild, but does anyone know what labor hours a shop would charge to do the removal and replacement? I'm not sure I want to tackle this myself.
I checked the labor guide, 14.7 hours to R&R TR6060 trans ($1500-$1800). I would say it's safe to say most corvette specialty shops could easily due it in 6-8 hours. They would probably charge accordingly to be competitive. The stealerships would probably charge about 2 grand.
Are you doing the clutch and TT tube couplers also?
I see your in fla. lots of corvette shops there.

Thanks for the reply. I thought the task might be a bit easier. Perhaps I might try to bundle this some day with some other work. Yes, at a local specialty shop.
A competant Vette shop can do it in 4 hours with a lift. Seen it/ had it done quite a few times. On your back on jack stands, not much fun and a few days for the average guy.
