Protection Plus GPS Security System?
Hello,
I just picked up a 2005 C6 Z51 6 Speed Vette, had it at the dealer for servicing. It was and still is showing the "security Light On", little lock through the roof on the dash board. Even solid when in ACC Mode...As the system is controlled by BCM when ignition is off position. And controls the immobilization of the car when ignition is on.
The dealer cleared it a couple times, for free thankfully, and it still comes on.
They mentioned it is part of the passive system that controls the cars security and there is interference from one of the antennas and need to get to BCM or was it RCDLR in the drivers door?
The constant light is not messing with any of the systems or functions on the car, just a pain in the **** to have it on all the time.
Could this be caused by the "Protector Plus" GPS protection system, could it be tied into one of those antennas or BCM? Or is it on a separate system?
Anyone else have this "Protector Plus" system in the car and experience this issue?
