Need some advice, purchase a C4 stroker that is really nice 480 hp runs and sounds great. Less than 2k on the build. Or, wait and save and get a C6 down the road 2-3 years. I've owned a C5 , driven a C6 and the C4 just didn't seem to compare to either from a ride and comfort standpoint. My concern is more with being pleased with the ride and comfort after the purchase, not the performance. Suggestions?
Not trying to start a fight with the C4 fans but the basic structure of the C6 is light years ahead of the C4 not to mention almost everything else is at least 20 years newer. If you are a fan of the C4 because it is simply the car for you by all means get it and enjoy. However, if you are interested in a vehicle for regular use and a new car experience it's got to be a late model C6.
C6 without a doubt. In terms of comfort, ease of entry/exit, build quality, technology, the C4 doesn't even come close. (and yes I've owned c4's)
WRT performance, the later (94+) C4s did have more HP than earlier ones, however the torque wasn't down low where you could feel it. I do miss that hood though...
I love C4's, I would also hate to wait 2-3 years to purchase, sometimes life gets in the way and the purchase may never happen. Get the C4 and enjoy it then trade up to a C6 at a later time. 2-3 years of fun driving is worth something
What's the asking price for the c4 your looking at? Engine pro built or owner built? There are deals to be had on c6's. Used car loans as low as 2.5%. Some things to think about. Hmmm?
