This is what I have in the car now. I'm building a new LS7 motor for either when the one I have now blows up or I buy an early model hot rod.
This cam on the card here starts to make power really early and really never lets up. Kind of surprising as it's 115 LSA and 228/246. It's been dyno tuned at LMR and it has 540/490 I have only done this cam, P fat headers and had LMR redo the heads with the help of LME.
I'm looking for help selecting the right cam for this new motor. I want something just a bit more racy/lopey..But will still idle at or around 875 and still have some manners on the street. This one I have in now is very easy on the street. I'm thinking somewhere around 235/255 with about 650 lift on a 114 LSA but what do I know????
Any advice on this would really be appreciated as after all the looking around on this and listening to the guys that work the phones at places like BTR and TSP I'm getting very confused.
Thanks for the suggestion. I got on their website and it's not working. I'll try to give them a call tomorrow.
No problem. I used him to spec my cam and I know that he will deliver what you ask for. He's very genuine and will take the time to school you in cams if needs to.
Patrick G designs every one of my cams and won't do it any other way, I just take my time and fill out the questions and in a day or two he will call if still have some questions then he makes a suggestion, just try it will do what you ask and make great power.
I usually ask for shift points at 6,800 / 7,4 red line for a great street cam and big numbers.
Check out the Katech K501 cam. It's what I'm doing. Should be back up and running in a week or so. A little bigger than what you said but has great manners on the street.
