I hate to make a thread just for this but since there is a rule against bumping old threads and I can't find an official Sticky DIY I have to ask. What is the correct torque for the rear axle nut? Specifically for a 2010 GS? I've already bought new axle nuts and blue Loctite but I have no idea as to the proper torque. Some threads show 110ft.lbs, 118ft.lbs, 140ft.lbs, 160ft.lbs..... which is it?
I believe the last I saw Paul "talon90" post was 140, but we'll see if that gets any votes. Anyway, that is what I would use. Also, ck to see if it's blue or red Loctite (don't know if it makes a big diff., but I seem to recall it has to set up at least overnite).
here's the page on Loctite. and it cures fully in 24 hrs.

Do yourself a favor and after torqueing the new nuts with loktite, use the old ones as lock nuts. Since doing that I never had a problem and like the security of it.
