when i put my drag pack on. my when my light for tpms or the size of my tires makes th elight come on i cant turn tc off all the wya. stable trac stays on and if i get a bit of spin off the line it gets a crazy death woble that where the car is trying to straighten me up and its not safe at all.
anyway i can disable all that crap. it will only let press the tc button 1 time . tapping 2 times doent work or holding down down work when that tire light comes on.
no , im thinkin of pulling them out of my factory rims and putting them in a capsule of somekind and make it hold 35 psi. i just wondering if i can disable that **** thur hpt or something
That's interesting. I didn't put tpms in my c5z fronts and never had a problem disabling TC (you really should only get TC on and TC off options with the TPMS showing XX).
This sounds like the car thinks you've got low tire pressure instead of missing tpms. Maybe you do need to build a tpms capsule. Subbed because I want to see what you figure out. Good luck.
The simple and safe solution is to trailer the car or change wheels at the track. Skinnies and slicks on the street are a recipe for problems. When a drag pack without sensors is only used at the track, the TPM system doesn't have enough time or distance to cause a problem with TC or AH.
Although I've never tried it, driving for no more than 15 minutes at a time and shutting it down, before starting and repeating it, might be enough to constantly reset the system.
Strange. My race wheels have no sensors, and never had an issue disabling TC/AH. LG sells a box that disables it. Sounds like you are getting a low pressure signal. If you get no signal dash just says XXX and says check TPMS but has no effect on AH/TC on or off. At least it doesn't on my 06.
well talking over with my buddy at ky speed. he thinks it may be the tire sizes causing it and not the tmps. cause both front and back are like 26" tall vs the offset. but that pvc thing will work. at least that will elimnate it.
but sometimes i can drive for 100+ miles and never get the tire light on the drag pack and sometimes it dont make 5 miles. but as soon as tht light comes on i cant tap the button 2x or hold it down. just tc off mode
dennis u the man. that will work. if thats not the cause i nkow its the tire sizes.
What are the tires with TPMS set at? If they are low, and you park within about 20ft of them, it will sync, read low pressure, and cause issues. Make sure they are aired to the correct level.
i cant haul 4 tires . bolt on my skinnies and drive to the track and then bolton on my rears. if i could stay 20' from them at all times wouldnt been a issue. but thats cant happen. its only when the yellow/orangish light comes on when it wont let me select. up till that happens it works fine

You can do it if you really want to. I took DR's and skinnies, plus a drag seat, tools, jack, and clothes for 4 days on a 1800 mile trip to race in CA this year. I had no vision problems beyond those due to the roll bar. It's all in how you put it in the car.

It works! I didn't use time, but used 12 miles as a shut off point. Just placed tranny in neutral, killed the motor, turned ignition back on by pressing the start button without depressing the clutch. With ignition on, I depressed the clutch, put tranny in 6th and released the clutch. Motor on and no TPMS code. I drove probably 75 miles with a few stops and a few resets and no TPMS code.
Pretty easy to do if you keep your head in the ball game. The first time, I pulled over and actually stopped. After that, just killing the motor and restarting on a roll worked fine. Little or no lost time. Good stuff HOXXOH
The 05 a4 trans is different then the manual , I had mine read in the canister then moved it to the back garage and put in the tool box so it couldnt read because to far away drove hundreds of miles over several months and everything was fine could turn AH&TC off, but the first time I really jumped on it in a street race it went to tc off only xx and couldn't turn AH off, my car runs straight with both off and with AH on it is all over and hard to keep in the groove from AH counter moving by breaking one side to the other.
I guess it would be too damn easy if they were all the same. That would take all the fun out of it....right? I went from my office to home without any TPMS lites. 15 miles and maybe 20 minutes. Mine's a 2013 M6 grand sport.

Yep I talked to a lot of manual guys and they said no problem with the xx, but I always did even with low tire pressure warning and the xx, i finally thought i had it figured out with that driving those couple months, until i really jumped on it hard with probably a 1.4 60 ft, so i just put the canister back in the car and never had another issue
