Default F1 paddle shift advantage

What is the advantage of f1 style shifter over stock, I have noticed the paddles are bigger and each paddle has it's own function on f1 style . I have never had the chance to use f1 style of shifter.

I assume you are talking about the S2T replacement paddles?

The main advantage is when combined with the wiring mod they now function like just about every other manufactures paddle shift. Left for down and right for up.

I myself never got used to the thumb button for up and always wanted to pull the right one to upshift, which resulted in a downshift or staying in first

They look alot better then the plastic ones.

Wiring mod you can do to the stock paddles so you can have the paddles shift the car any way you want.

On most cars sports cars, the left paddle is used to shift down, and the right paddle used to shift up.

As for size of paddles, the larger F1's are easier to pull with your finger tips no matter where you hands are on the wheel around 9 and 3.

Stock,

s2t levers instead,

Paddle shifters on a Enzo,

Wiring mod,

And a little more ind depth on the levers,
