So i picked up an MSD 2 step, I was reading the instructions on it , they say to wire it into the clutch switch, however after reading a couple of peoples installs here I saw alot of them ran into a problem being that the cars now a days are equipped with the clutch position sensor instead. Has anyone succesfully installed an msd 2 step with the clutch activation switch in an 08 ls3?
I don't think that alone will do what the original poster needs.
The LPE L480370108 is a plug-and-play harness connects to the clutch pedal position (CPP) sensor used on the 2008 and newer Corvette, the 2010+ Camaro, the 2009+ CTS-V and many other newer GM vehicles. That is just a intermediate harness to make it easier to connect an external device to the sensor (without having to tap into the OEM wiring).
The CPP is a sensor - not a switch. It provides a 0-5volt output of pedal position. Only one sensor is used on the clutch pedal unlike the earlier cars that had two switches, one for the top of the travel (cruise control) and one at the bottom of the travel (starter enable).
The L480370108 harness can't be used to connect directly to the MSD 2-step (or the LPE 2-steps either). You need something to convert the analog voltage signal into an ON/OFF switched output that the MSD 2-step is expecting (or the LPE LNC 2-steps would be expecting).
We offer a product to do that. It is a our CTAP-001. It is programmable for where in the pedal travel you want to enable/disable the output.
If the vehicle is a 2007 or earlier Corvette then I agree that you should use the lower switch (the one that is the starter enable switch). The upper one (used for the cruise control) bounces around a lot and will result in erratic operation.
If the vehicle is a 2008 or newer Corvette as indicated in the original post then it has a clutch pedal position sensor and more is needed to turn that into a switched output (see my previous post).

Wonder if I can use this to control my blow-off valve.
