Nice. I've done it a few times though, so I've gotten pretty good at it

Very envious of those with a lift, though. It sucks to do on the ground.

I did one C5 and then my C6 I've had apart I think 3 times now. Next time I won't go cheap on the clutch, that's for sure

Nice write up! One thing that I discovered doing some different work is that if you are have difficulty manipulating that damn connector from the slave to the master, you can remove the inner liner of the wheel and get to it dead easy. I remember it was PITA on my first C6 trying to get that connector seated because of the tight space and my big hands.

I was having a hell of a time getting it back together once and just pulled the liner and fender off. Made access so much easier

I also found out that my original 2005 master connector would NOT mate with a new slave. I tried two different ones. I ended up having to take the connector off of my original slave and swapped it on to the new one.

Later on I swapped out the master/slave at the same time. I took the original 2005 master connection with a new slave connector and put them in a vice.. they would NOT go together.

I have no idea how or why.. maybe something had swollen from being in brake fluid for that long? Who knows.. but it was the damndest thing I've ever seen. I was squeezing and squeezing trying to get those to fittings together before I finally just swapped the new one out with the old one

Thank you. I have done quite a few especially as of late and I never take off the inner fender. I remove the c clip and push the line fully together then insert the clip rather than trying to power it in till it clicks. Also, those with the tick master have a easier time as you can pull the flex line out to get 2 hands on it.

Really sucks when you try to save $80 by not installing a metal TB race from the start, and use the OEM plastic race instead.

Guessing that will never be a saving cost you ever consider again.
P.S, your slave looks fine, and just the plastic TB race on the slave is the part that when south from the amount of heat for repeat strip clutch slips in the Bell housing instead.
