Default Fuse Light

I was told there is a fuse light in or around the passenger footwell fuse box. I can't find it in my 2006 Base Coupe.

Is this something only in later years, or am I blind nd not seeing it? If the 2006 is supposed to have one, *where* exactly, is the light located?

Thanks!

Joe

Now, that looks like the footwell light in my car. Could they be one and the same? Someone told me there were 2 separate lights. Maybe not, eh wot?!

Passanger foot well lamp on all C6 models.

Start with your hand at the glove box latch and start working down under the passenger foot well upper plastic of the dash. Your going to come to a downwards hump, then two side detent areas left and right, and father back under, your going to feel the lens cover of the passenger foot lamp (or just shove your head under the there with the back of your head against the passenger carpet.

And no, you don't need to pull the fuse cover door open to see the lamp/it cover lens.
Note, as soon as you open the passanger door, the lamp should come on.

LED replacement bulbs in place to give you an idea of the location of the lamps/ there covers,

As for lamps, you have the one in each of the foot wells, two in the back hatch area both sides, the two mirror lights, and on the passengers visor clip that lights up the shifter area of the center bezel.

I have replaced all but the Passenger foot well. Too damned lazy to pull that under glove box conceal! LOL. My car doesn't have the shifter illumination light, only the two map lights, but that is ok..don't need it.
We just bought a new 2016 Subaru Outback for my wife. First thing I did was replace all the lights in it with LED's. Those factory lights were pitiful!

Double check, since it was standard on all the C6 models.

Chances are, its there, but the bulb may be unplugged or burnt out instead.

You are right, there *IS* a little light up there, never noticed it. Interesting. I’ll look at it more closely in the morning….I may even try and finger out how to get the cover off that foot well light on the right side, with out breaking it!

I found out the hard way, one cannot remove the primp mirror assemblies and put them back…I’ll have to find a replacement visor now..in ebony. (HINT HINT..Anybody??!!)
