Yes it is a HID bulb. The bulb may still be good and the ballast bad though.

It's a H10 size HID bulb.

Swap the bulb from the other side to see if the bulb or the ballast is bad. And double check the connection to the ballast (they are polarity sensitive so put them back the way you took them off.

They come in different colors. Likely you have 5000 kelvin. If they match your low beams they are 4300 kelvin. It may say on the bulb what kelvin it is.

It will likely be a 35 watt bulb but you may have 55 watt. The ballast will say the wattage.

Once you figure out what color and watt bulbs and if it's the bulb you can buy the bulb or ballast on eBay.

If you can't find be color of bulb post up a picture of the working bulb lit with the headlight on as well, point the camera at the front of the car, and I'll tell you what the color is. I've been though this a time or two.

Probably 5000 kelvin then, particularly if the hid is whiter than the headlights, which are 4300 kelvin.

Hard to tell from the photo. Does the hid lights look whiter than the low bea? Then it's 5000k. Kind of does to me and 5000k is the most common, though I prefer 4300 personally.

Id go with 35 w, they are also the most common. And cheaper.
