Default MOD help for 05 C6

Hey guys, I just purchased an 05 C6 AT(so my wife could drive) with 36,500 miles. It already has many MOD's done, but being a "new" car to me, I want to add to the list. Currently installed: Magnaflow catback exhaust, HRE Wheels, and Halltech venom 2 intake. Along with a list of visual upgrades: fuel rail covers, intake manifold cover, radiator shroud, brake rotor hub covers, power steering cover, radiator tank cover, fuse box cover, alternator cover, battery cover, brake caliper cover, and a hood liner. So my question is, what should I add? Any thoughts or concerns welcome, as I'm new to vette community.

Congratulations!!! Nice looking car.

First thing that struck me when looking at the pics......it's begging for a nice spoiler. Maybe GM Full Length or ZR1 style. Just sayin'.

Got to ask,

Why are you blocking air flow to the cabin intake duct?

There is a cabin air filter between the air inlets and the passage to the heater/AC box.

With the cabin air intake blocked, it pretty much like just setting the AC/Heater to recirculate air full time instead.

Myself, send most of the time with the AC turned off instead, and use the cool air coming into that is defected off the windshield and down into the intake instead.

So my best guess is the previous owner installed a mesh cover over the cabin intake duct bc we live in Arizona, and at times, it gets pretty dusty. I also assumed it would keep debris out, but I lifted the mesh cover up and there were still leaves and twigs under it. So should I take it off completely?

Yes, remove the added crowling felt, and the added plug holding it in place. The felt is just going to get wet in areas past the intake slots, leading to a mold problem on the filter. Plus the stock charcoal cabin filter will catch all the dust and derbies just fine.

The low down yearly,

Start with making sure that the AC box drain line is clear,
Part #27, and you can get to it from under the car.

If the hose is really clogged, you may need to pop it off to clear it instead.
Note, if the a/c drain hose get clogged from debris that are pulled through the system from the cabin with the system on reticulation, then the box will have standing water in the box, which can glow mold very quickly, but worse, the water now pond'g in the box, end up leaking out of the box and down into the BCM blow the A/C box to destroy the BCM. As for the water, it from the ice that melt of the AC coil, since when the A/C coil is cold, it draws the moisture out of the air to freeze to the coil instead. Also, the car uses the A/C system/ coils even in the winter time; as a dehumidifier to keep the windows from frosting up on the inside when the heater is on.

Now, Using a air compressor, blow all the debris out of the crowling duct work towards the filter, remove the stock cabin filter then back blow the up through the crowling duct work at the cabin filter opening towards the driver slot to get the last of the derbies cleared out.

Now start the car with the cabin filter still out, windows down, turn the heater fan on to high (use the heater setting, and hit the button to turn the A/C off on the control panel under the radio), and spray the AC coil through the firewall cabin door slot with a full can of Lysol spray to kill any mold in the A/C box and on the A/C coil.

Once the Lysol can is empty, then install the new cabin charcoal filter (air flow arrow downward on the filter), then let the heater fan run for about 5 min more with the windows down to clear most of the Lysol smell out of the cabin.

As for lysol spray, pick your scent.

I really like those wheels but the car needs a ZO6 spoiler.

How about a stroker with a set of headers and new converter.

Welcome! You picked the best color by far.

I did a thread a while back about my mod path, with dyno results and track results as I built from the base of headers up to heads and cam.

Perhaps this will help you decide.
