Default wierd clutch problem

Hey guys, i just put a replacement motor in a c6z and am having a clutch problem. The clutch is a basically new stock ls7 clutch, it only had about 100 miles on it and worked perfect in this same car with same hydraulics. When i push the clutch to floor it is impossible to get trans in gear, the car will push forwards just trying to put it in gear. If i release clutch to about half way out it will go right in gear. Once in gear if i push it the rest of way in it will start to drive the car again. And when i release the clutch it has a very high release point to drive the car. I bled it multiple times with no changes. What in the world would let the clutch engage while fully depressed yet not while half way? Please help!

I bled mine several times and still had air trapped. It sounds like there is air still in the system.

Are you sure you installed the pilot bearing in the crank?

Umx recently had similar trouble after an engine swap and that was the problem.

Seems like a trend of clutch troubles lately.
