Default Starting issue....sometimes

Hey guys. Quick question
I just bought a c6 and have had an issue starting a few times so far. Every now and then the car will crank for quite some time before starting or I have to give it just a little bit of throttle to get it going. Most of the time it fires right up but this has happened 3-4 time so far. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or what. I have noticed that it seems to happen more if the car is hot and also if I just hop in and hit the button right away.
Car has ECS supercharger, American racing headers, alky control meth kit.

I would put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see if you are bleeding pressure down. Possibly a bad check valve or regulator.

I have a fuel pressure gauge on the pillar, but I honestly havent looked at it when starting.

Agree with Doug. Check FP.


Does the starting issue have anything to do with the car being shut down after it was recently in boost? I have seen meth kits in the past "leak" or collect some of the meth in the intake tube and can get on the MAF sensor and cause starting issues. Not saying it, but might not be a bad experiment to pull the inlet tube to the TB off and see if there is meth in the tube or on the MAF.

Now that you mention it, that may make sense. The first time it did it was after a pretty good run and was shut down very shortly after.
The more I think about it, I belive every time it has happened it was after boost and shutting down shortly after.
Is that normal? Do i just make sure to let it idle for a while prior to shutting it down?

Again...not saying for sure that is what it is...but it is worth a shot to look at it. Depends on the location of the nozzle, how it is spraying, and where the MAF is in relation to the nozzle.
