Will i have to retune the car since its not the same?
I can't answer your question, specifically, b/c I have a stock converter in my C6...but I can tell you that you're in good hands with Matt and John. Been doing business with them for over a decade. They will take care of you. Let us know how it runs with the new converter!
OP is already committed so non these post will mater for what it's worth I tried the Yank ss 4k but I wanted something tighter on a high horse power car Dave swapped for a 10.5 inch pro Yank 3,600 and is the sweetest thing ever it drives crisp on the street and when you floor it at any speed engine go immediately to 5,300 rpm and jams hard as heck suitable for engines making over 700 fly wheel horse power and big traction.
Only other converter I would consider for 450 or more rwhp is the new 9.5 inch Yank power adder 3,400 Dave recommended and for any car making 500 to 700 fwhp is the way to go here's what it does, like the pro Yank it drives crisp doesn't pull in idle at the traffic light in drive and when you hit the gas rpm flashes to 4,800 and starts from there it really hits hard and does everything rite, can't ask for more.
