Best sounding exhaust?
Looking to buy new exhaust and I want to now which are the best sounding. I want to make it pretty loud. And I know just about nothing about car parts, so help me out a bit please!

My advice is for you to attend car shows and when you see a Corvette with aftermarket exhaust, ask the owner about the exhaust. Chances are they will fire their engine up for you to hear. I have Corsa Extreme exhaust and am very happy with it. I have received several compliments on it. Before you spend $$$, do some looking around. Good luck.

Best exhaust sound will be based solely on opinion. that's almost an impossible question to answer. I went on youtube and started listening to corvettes with "x" brand name exhaust and after several video I decided that for me, I wanted Borla Stingers.
here's what mine sound like
I also liked Akrapovic, corsa, and haven't heard the SLP Loudmouth since my F-body days but they sounded really loud and good back then. If they are the same as they used to be, they are or were more of a muffler delete.

This is good advice. Exhaust preference varies wildly from person to person so it's really going to depend on what you want to hear and what you want others to hear. Online clips can give a general idea of the sound, but they typically lack the nuance that you'll get from hearing exhausts in person. That said, MagnaFlow exhausts give a nice smooth, deep tone and we also dyno test all of our exhausts to make sure they improve exhaust gas flow and power.

Yes go to a show or corvette meet and ask around. You can not get the full effect until you hear them in person. Plus the rest of the exhaust will change the end result. Headers, x pipe catted or not etc.

Just my opinion... I've had 3 different types. The one I thought was the loudest and roughest sounding was the the Billy Boat PRT Speedway. Many people sommented on it and wanted to know what it was. I sold the car (a C5 Z06) and bought a C6 and it doesn't sound anywhere near as throaty....

Going to the car shows and listening is best I agree.
But make sure it's apples to apples, in other words if you car is not modded or cammed, just listen to those exhaust. A modded car can sound different than stock with the same type of exhaust.
I recently installed Bill Boat PRT's on my stock C6 & am happy with it.

HA!
Naaah, I just feel loud cars are obnoxious and serve no purpose.
Hell, I'd wager 9 out of every 10 cars I come across with after market mufflers and other noise makers - I make at least 200 hp/tq more than ... and with stock mufflers. Go figure ...

And I'd wager many cars with those "obnoxious" systems make at least 2-400 hp/tq more than the quiet guys. So you never know.

I personally have Kooks to stock npp. If you're going to pay 1k + for anything, I'd at least invest in a set of headers.
-They will add a lil more power than a cat back
-They're not hard to put on or take off. (did mine in my garage on jack stands.)
-They add a ton of sound, especially if you have the NPP
and they'll keep adding power as you mod.

Your "loud" may be someone else's whisper. It is very subjective. Have a listen to someone with an NPP with the fuse pulled (loud all the time) Some folks think thats loud. I think its just right.

I can't argue with that.
MY car with ECS1500, ERL 416, Camotion Cam, LT's stock NPP with a foot switch to open/close - loud enough

No one can tell you what the best sounding exhaust is, you'll have to hear them and decide for yourself. What I like may sound horrible to you.
