I love my Shift-I shift light although I confess I haven't installed it in my Vette yet because I still need more info on where to find a tach signal and I still need to take everything apart to install my audio. It has come with me from a couple other cars I owned before and is a great, progressive-style light as well as a couple other features like battery meter on startup and ability to dim itself at night.
Was it a plug in or require cutting and soldering????
I had to run a wires to the fuse box for the hot and and ground and one wire to a wire in the dash for the signal. I over killed a little. I have a GM PAC-connetor kit, so I connected it to the wires on the instrument and then ran the wires to the various locations. The pod tapes to the dash, no cutting and I ran the wires behind the dash panel.
Ok guys. I need info on where to get the tach signal for the shift light. i would rather not cut/splice any wires. Wiring is not my best skill but I can do some things. Any info is much appreciated. 2007 C6
