Programing key fob
The 06 I bought came with 1 key fob it is a #2.I bought a #1 from a forum member.I tried to program it at home with no luck. Took the 06 to the dealer and they could not program the fob.They said I need a new keyless entry module for $600.I don't understand why the original fob works and the #1 test good. Why can't it be programed? Thanks Charlie.

you will need to erase the working fob from the car memory if you want to get both of them programmed. There are 3 fobs programmed to your car floating around out there somewhere.

Thanks for the info.I programed both remotes using the long version.The dealer charged me $99and could not get them programed.They told me I needed a keyless entry module and it would cost $600 to replace. I'm glad I am on this forum. Thanks again.Charlie.
