Default Hinson headers

Sup guys,
Just joined from Phx, Az and thought i'd seek out some advice from you guys as I am fairly new to the corvette scene, although i've had a couple of ls cars in my life before that. So i am in the process of trying to do long tubes and x pipe for my c6 vette and I had come accross the texas speed headers which seemed like a good deal but they are out of stock until mid september so while doing more research i found the Hinson Headers. They look pretty decent tbh and was wondering if anybody had any personal experience with them? Would prefer not to spend over 1k on headers/x-pipe so really considering these. Here is a link to the site https://www.hinsonsupercars.com/p-86...xtensions.aspx

here's a pic of my car btw

I'm eye balling the same set and haven't heard anything bad about them. Seems like they haven't been for sale long. Just a FYI, if your car is 09+, you'll need to wait until they release the 09+ set. I've been told in a couple weeks. I'm also wondering everyones opinion on the ceramic SS headers.

Yea from what i can tell they are fairly new. My car is a 05 so I should be good just can't find any good valuable info on them. Wondering how long the ceramic coat holds up to the heat especially in phx since it gets super hot here and if there is any major fitment issues.

Well it's been almost a month since i ordered them and they still haven't shipped or even been sent a tracking number. Thinking of cancelling the order and ordering the ones off of texas speed. They're a little cheaper so might just do these. https://www.texas-speed.com/p-3198-t...e-w-02-ex.aspx

I am also super interested in how you get on, I have played with the idea of the Hinson headers and X pipe as the deal is really good, but I want to see a real world review.

So far my experience hasn't been that great. The reason i ordered these over the texas speed ones because on the site it said they were in stock and texas speed wouldn't be in stock until around this time and the fact that they are ceramic coated. Shortly after placing order recieved a email that they didn't have any in stock and would ship asap even though charge has been placed on my credit card and almost a month later and nothing yet. Sucks because i cammed my car with the thought process that these wouldn't take as long to ship and well that didn't work out lol

So far I have had a good experience with them. My headers were shipped and tracking number was sent. I have not installed them yet, winter project. Same thing with their shifter. Just give them a call, I have called them several times and find them very helpful.

just installed on a 08 c6. they quality looks good but when everything was already installed the passenger side 02 sensor was being crushed, it hits the frame so we have to do some mods and banging to make it work. also when we received our package they gave us the incorrect 02 extenders. they sent us the ones for the rear o2 sensors.but other than that they look good

Not for nothing, but it's already a PITA install...they should make them so that they just go on. Not hard to make some dents for clearance. Everyone that has built an older hot rod has surely had to use the hammer method somewhere on their build. But at this rate, why can't they just build a part that truly just BOLTS on. I don't know because I've never installed a set on a c6 but I'm guessing LG, Kooks, or American Racing just go on the car, not banging and massaging things in place.

my lg pros fit like garbage ! So far kooks have been my #1 choice ! Lg even told me you have to bang the car to get the headers to fit on a steel frame c6 . cant go wrong with the fit and finish of the kooks

We're one of Hinson's recommended installers and have done 4-5 sets already. Fitment has been good so far and we've got no complaints as of yet (Time will tell).

I see you got your headers in.

What are your thoughts on them? Quality? Fitment? Overall inspection?
