Hello! I apologize for my English, I write through a translator. I live in Kiev, Ukraine, is now looking for his Corvette C6 2006-2008 with a manual transmission but unfortunately all of the machines that we sold with automatic transmission. Most likely I will have to buy a car with an automatic transmission, and change it to manual transmission ... Tell me please how parts will I need to change and what nuances may occur when changing? I would be very grateful if someone could write a whole list of items with approximate prices!
Why not just drive an automatic?
The parts list would be very long and I'm sure it would be a lot of work to just list all the parts. Buying them and installing them would be a big problem also.
Machine will be used on track days, with an automatic transmission it will not be so fun)
Race tune the auto trans, and you will have faster lap times than with a manual trans.
Hence on most high speed track, a sequential transmission will decrease your lap times by seconds each lap since it shifts just so much faster than you can with a conventional manual trans instead
The down fall, your not going to be able to beat on the OEM trans with race tune like you can with a sequential transmission/ expect the OEM trans to last long when beat on instead.
It will be very difficult change. You will need....
Transmission
Shifter linkage
Shifter assembly
Clutch pedal assembly
Clutch master cylinder
Clutch slave cylinder
Flywheel
Clutch
Pressure Plate
Throwout Bearing
Clutch fork
Bellhousing
All the various bolts
I am not 100% certain, but I believe you will also need...
Torque tube
Driveshaft
Tuning
It would likely be faster and cheaper to import a manual transmission Vette that was sold in Germany or Italy.

I'm pretty sure that the auto transmission has it's own computer. I suspect the manual has one also. I think The engine control computer will have to be reprogrammed to work with a manual transmission.
I think you should try the auto transmission and use the paddle shifters before you convert to a manual. I think the auto trannie computer can be reprogrammed to make for snappier shifts which may be good enough.
TCM for the auto, and it bolted just behind the ECM in the back fender well opening.
The manual does not use the TCM , and if the vet was was converted, then the TCM is pulled, and just "option'd out" with the Tech II tool when the car is reprogrammed to manual from automatic.
As for converting an auto to manual, short of picking up up wrecked manual on the cheap that the drive line is still good, the conversion with new parts and labor would end up costing the same as just buying another whole new used car instead.
TCM on the right, ECM on the left
Look behind/just above the ECM on the back side of the plastic that the ECM is bolted to, and you can see the blue connector that is plugged into the TCM for an auto trans car,
