Default Catback suggestions?

Pretty sure I'm in the right forum to be posting this...

Alright, well I'm hopefully gonna be shopping for an LS3 Vette here pretty soon and I'm already putting a mod sheet together in my head. I know the first thing I wanna do is exhaust since the stock setup is sort of on the quiet side (really on the quiet side for my personal taste) and I don't really know what catbacks to look into for what I like. I know Corsa stuff comes off highly recommended but I just wonder what some of the other top pick options tend to be. I know exhaust note is "To each his own" and you guys can't just tell me what I'll like but I figure you could point me in the right direction. I know I'm gonna run 1 7/8" Kooks longtubes since a buddy has them on his goat ran into an offroad X and then a set of 3in spintechs and it just sounds phenomenal. So Kooks has made a darn good impression with me. I just don't know what catbacks are out there for the vette that give that sort of volume and tone. I've listened to a couple of Corsa setups on youtube but exhaust sounds get no justice when played through a PC speaker. So, any suggestions? I'm open to any and all advice from you people who know more than me lol.

I have corsa xtreme's on my ls3 and love them. They make some noise. Borla atak's are another loud option. Billy Boat bullets would be the loudest.

I would suggest starting at the front of the engine with the KOOKS headers first, and then working your way back. You'll have more options then as far as taming down the sound if it's too loud. That being said, Magnaflow and Borla make some really nice kits.

Kind regards,

Alright thanks for the advice fellas. I've actually listened to a set of Corsa Xtremes on youtube (PC speakers do exhaust notes absolutely no justice but it'll give an idea of the general tone at least.) and they do sound pretty sweet. Out of curiosity David are you running aftermarket headers or cats?
