Yes that is the cooling fan connector that decided to fry on me Saturday night. What would have been an expensive search mission at a dealer ended up costing me 10 dollar to fix ( cut the wire and inserted a bypass )

CF is awesome, no doubt, I hope you have time to figure out why it burned like that and picked up a new plug to do it up right

If there is enough current to do that kind of damage, you may want to think about converting the circuit to use a high current relay. I would also take a close look at the wiring to make sure it hasn't been damaged, and also look at the connector on the other end of the wire if you can find it.

Did inspect the wiring -- no other problems found. From what I can deduce, this was caused by the connector becoming loose and arching. Many others have documented this occurrence.
