I installed a Blackwing on my 05 yesterday, drove maybe 20 miles then CEL came on. I have not checked codes yet as my scanner is at my office. I'm assuming it will be a lean code. All connections are solid, and no cracks. My question is does the car need more driving for PCM to make corrections for more air flow?
Blackwing is a very popular CAI, I can assume that in most cases they should function and not set CEL. One should not have to get a tune with just a CAI and catback.
You would think the LTFTs wouldn't be affected that much, but unfortunately that's just not always the case. A number of CAIs will cause a code to be thrown.
Sounds like you've already double-checked for any potential vacuum leaks, but it might be worth another look.
I have not driven it again yet, but pretty certain I got it fixed. I took it back apart, and it had 2 good dust bunnies attached to the MAF screen. I'm assuming it was from the packaging. So if this fixed it, make sure inside of the duct and filter are debris free...
