2012 ls3 base with npp factory mufflers. I'm trying to get long tubes and an x pipe. Will the normal Texas speed headers fit? They say yes. I thought there is some difference after 2008? Over axle? Is that not a consideration since I plan to retain my stock mufflers?
Thks. I need to measure what I have. I assumed it was 2.5" and that the pipe back by the muffler was different after 2010 but maybe that's part of the muffler

Well, yea, the stock pipe is 2 1/2" all the way back. Their 3" x-pipe "should" include a reducer to get to your 2 1/2, if that's what you're worried about. Should just call them and ask.
I have a set of Texas Speed headers on my LS2 coupe and fitment of the headers were good but not so great on the x pipe and connection pipes. If you do decide to buy headers from them make sure you pre fit the connection pipes from the x pipe to the exhaust. Mine set fit like crap and I had to modify one of the slip ends to slip over the other end.
Spoke to them. They wouldn't assure fit. And are aware that the x pipe is different towards the back on the 10 and up. But others have "made it fit" and no one sent it back....I guess the issue is the x pipe the rest is ok. And making the stock npp mufflers mate up.
