I asked my mechanic the cost of getting my intake manifold ported he said you cannot cause its plastic. Is it really?
He's half right. The intake manifold is plastic but it can absolutely be ported.
Don't use that mechanic for aftermarket modifications. If you're confident in his general automotive abilities, ie; oil changes, brake jobs, etc., that's fine. But find a competent and experienced LS tuner to perform performance work on your C6.
OP: Is this for an LS2 or LS3, if it is for the LS2 I would just buy a FAST. You will see more power/tq gain down low with the FAST. Here is a thread that I did a long time ago - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...st-intake.html If you still want to have your oem intake manifold ported check out these guys - http://www.peakspeedshop.com/
