The passenger window goes down fine with the drivers side master switch but it will not go up. The passenger side switch moves the window up and down flawlessly. Not a big issue, but one that I wanted to get fixed. I tired a new drivers door switch and it also functions the same as the original one.
I noticed this flaw when I test drove the car at the dealers lot, but as I drove back onto his lot the window switch started working fine, so I did not complain. It has not worked since.
Any plugs or modules I can check? Can I assume the passengers window switch is OK?
I had the reverse of your issue in my car not too long ago. The driver door switches rolled the passenger window up & down okay, the passenger switch rolled the window down okay however it would not roll it up.
I took the passenger switch apart and cleaned it but still it didn't fix it.
Had to order a new switch and all is well. Sounds like you have some sort of loose connection. Those little plug wires for the switches are kind of short in length.

Did you try a brand new switch, or a different one?
I ask because it seems there are only two things it could be.
1. The Driver's switch/module
2. The passenger door module
The request to move the window is done by the driver's window switch.
- This is a digital input that is pulled low by the driver's switch toggle.
- Then that request is sent to the door control module (via data bus) to move the window.
So the ground can not be the problem since one window request works.
The data bus is good because one window request works as well.
So the switch, or the digital input of the switch module can cause this.
I have no way to see the logic in the door module, but a more unlikely case is the the door module can not process the request for the opposite move request.
I used a different master switch and not a new one. I am reluctant to buy a new master switch just for testing. Perhaps I could turn on my charm to the boys at the parts counter to let me return the switch if it does not solve my issue. They do have one in stock at $116.

Old switch in hand, break out the multi meter to test it.

Dano, I feel like a fool, and I am an old electronics guy. I had not thought of testing the switch with a meter. I will now as soon as I get a chance. Thanks
