I got an education on E85 when I went to work for an oil company and to be frank, now that I know what is in that stuff and how inconsistent the quality of E85 is, I won't use it.

You run one pin to the ECM and supply power to the sensor. Plumb the sensor in, adjust tune to know the sensor is there and what to do based on ethanol content and there ya go.

Yeah should be 5V as far as I know. I read something about some sensors being 12V though.. hell if I know. It's one of the two

Pin # is different on different ECM's. Everything except E40's is pretty commonly known so you should be able to find it with some googling

MAP sensor assuming it doesn't use too much current. I run two other pressure sensors off of the MAP sensor 5V. You can get ground there too while you're at it.

Or you can get a voltage converter from radio shack. Well.. you used to could anyways. Now all they'll sell you is a cell phone plan

The problem is my harness is meant for where my hard parts put the sensor. I have no way to know where you're putting your own sensor and can't guarantee it'd fit.

I used the kit you made, worked awesome. Super easy to install and works great.

I run E85 all the time, it's also my DD. Only time I have ran E10/93 octane is when I drove the car from NC to Florida a few months back and didn't really care to search high and low for E85.

Luckily I have more than dozen Sheetz near me that carry E85, and it's always 80-85% (even right now in Dec) as checked by my Ethanol test kit and via the sensor reading in HPT. I check it with my test kit about every 2-3 weeks, and usually about once every other fill up via HPT. I paid $1.38 yesterday to fill up. I drive the car probably 250-400 miles a week, depending on the weather.

I average about 15 mpg on E85 driving around town and sitting in traffic for those 250 or so miles per week. When I can do more highway and cruising, it's closer to 19 mpg. On 93 I was getting about 19 mpg around town and 24 mpg on the highway. Mine's a Z51 A6, so take that into account for gearing in the trans.

If you are pretty good at wiring, it should not be hard to make your own kit.

Here's the DSX kit on my C6.
