Default aux input issue

In '09 vert when playing music from phone through the aux input, the voice part of the music comes through very weakly while the instrumental part is at normal volume. Have tried cleaning jacks and plugs on both ends but no help. The phone plays music fine through earbuds and home stereo. Have tried two different cords with same result. Any thoughts?

Check your stereos EQ settings. You may be on a setting that is not conducive to bring the voice out.

CD's and radio sound normal. I'm wondering if most of the vocals on recordings are on one of the stereo channels and the contact for that channel is not making a good connection/is loose. Don't know enough about how recordings are made to know if this is a possibility.

Have you checked the aux cable to ensure it was stereo and not mono?

Or that something is not wrong with the cable ...

The cables are the same ones used when the aux input worked properly a couple months ago. I'm thinking the problem must be a broken wire that connects to one of the contacts in the jack or poor jack/plug contact in spite of the cleanings.

I still would check the cable ....the are inexpensive to buy and are the highest wear point in the system . Sounds like you lost a system ground wire .
