I've had mind come in a fee times. It's always the connector under the drivers seat. From it moving forward and back everytime you get in and out. Unplug and plug back in always fixes it. Reading the code would tell you where to look but without doing that I would try that connector and see if it fixes it.
Ok another one fixed by cleaning and reseating the connectors under drivers and passengers seats.
By the way what a junk connector.Wires going to spring type posts (I guess you would call them) that just touch on female pins that the male pins slide into.On a system that is probably highly resistance sensitive.
All that bs to get dirty and cause problems but they feel that it's an important enough connector that they put locking devices (Blue Plastic pins)on top of the original ones on it.
Gm why don't you just put a simplified more positive type connector on it and be done. I know the car just came out and all but come on.

Ours has been on for while now, what did you do to clean the connectors with ?
My has been on and off for a few years on my 08 and it does not throw a code??
I think that a simple consumer grade scanner will not read airbag codes, but a high level TECHII will...but the most likely cause of an on-and-off light is the connector under the seat. It is certainly the easiest thing to check also.

Contact cleaner or a alcohole should work.
I put a towel under the seat while I sprayed it(contact cleaner).
First time I pulled the seat on the drivers side on the passengers I cleaned it with the seat in place if it ever happens again I won't have too pull any of them now that I understand how the plug works where it is etc.
Also I made sure I pulled the fuse for the airbag under the pass footwell.

I will add this I'm not sure but I think if your light only comes on at high speeds it might be a different problem. But if it comes on at low speeds or is on continuously then the connector under the seat is probably the issue.
