2005 C6 LS2 Blown Head gasket

2005 C6 LS2 Blown Head gasket
Hi all, I THINK I have blown a head gasket on my 2005 C6 LS2 as it overheated and I have oil in the coolant res. Do I need to remove the engine to get the heads off (take it to a garage) or can I pull the heads off with the engine in situ? Thanks

Moved to C6 Tech and after five years, I would hope the member has fixed the problem.
