Default Clutch time

What clutch are you 1000hp+ guys running? I'm on my second monster lt1-r in under a year and monster didn't warranty the first one and now the second one is starting to chatter like the first one that had broken rivets on the center of the disk and where the clutch material is riveted to the disc. There website says it's rated at 1200hp and 1200lbs. Obviously not. Really fed up with it and ready for something that is going to last. As you know changing the clutch in these cars is not a simple process. I'm tired of changing clutches every 6 months.

Thanks and sorry for the rant. Just really frustrated

As reputable as people say it is I wouldn't go with a monster. The rps, mantic, McLeod and centerforce seem the way to go. I went with the centerforce which a lot of people tell you is junk but that's what everyone says about every clutch. I know somebody with 900 wheel on a centerforce with over 50k on it and it's held up fine (being driven hard and tracked). Good luck

I don't have that type of power, but I have clutch that will.

CenterForce Dyad with a Tick Master.

Very happy.

Yep, problem is not the holding power of the clutch itself once engaged, but the life of the clutch since you need to slip it hard on a launch's with the vet instead.

Worst yet, some full blown racing clutch are really hard to slip, and just chatter city to begin with, and become worse over time as well.

So you may find some clutches that have better holding power once engaged, but the CenterForce Dyad is a clutch that is not hard to slip to begin with, and civil in stop and go traffic as well.
