Default Driver side head removal

Hello,
I've searched online and here as well and haven't found any clear info. Anybody happen to have a DIY guide on how to remove the alt bracket to the driver side head of a ls2 vette? I am in the process of removing the heads and I'm stuck on the driver side. Passenger side came off easy this one is a bit trickier. PICS WOULD BE A HUGE PLUS. Thanks again

The alternator bracket is actually the power steering bracket, so the whole thing will need to come off. If you support it properly, you can just remove the bracket with the power steering pump still in it (or just remove the power steering pump from the bracket, your call). The pump has to come out far enough to allow you to fully remove the bolt that holds the power steering resevoir to the cylinder head, unless you just empty the resevoir and remove the hose between the resevoir and the pump. You have a few options, but I think just removing the bracket whole and tying it up so that the bracket/pump assembly isn't resting on any of the hard lines may make the smallest mess since you won't actually have to open the power steering system.

Check out this excellent post by rpmextra. It has pics of what the power steering/alt bracket look like and things may make a little more sense as to what you need to remove: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...full-pics.html
