2011 GS A6 paddle shift question.
Also, when on the track, after my first race, about mid way through my second race of the day, when I'm using my paddle shifters, the car will begin to up shift on its own. Without me pushing any buttons. Once this starts it will do it for the rest of the day. Then the next day it will hold the hears again until about the next race. Then start up shifting for the remainder of the day again.
I believe the computer thinks it's learning something and or trying to prevent such high RPMs so it starts up shifting to protect itself?
With your tune, will it eliminate this?

It NEVER happens and when it does, it's usually cause someone was a dumb-*** about it.
Dig around..... Out of the corvette production numbers from 97 to present..... I'll bet you'll struggle to find even a handful.
Chuck CoW
So even worried about warrenty issues I decided to try out The Chuck Cow Tune with Cow booster, talked to Chuck directly and he talked me into it. Paid him 850$ on the spot and he said he would have my new tun shipped within a couple of days. Well, that was a month ago, and still no tune, I started calling his shop last week, twice a day with no chance of speaking to him, at first someone would answer the phone and I have been given many reasons why he was not available such as, "he's on the other line and will call you when he's off" then "he's out to lunch will call whe. He gets back" then "he's at the doctor and will call when he's back" then "he's not in today"
This has been going on for a week, the people answering the phone can't help me and yesterday was assured by the guy who answered the phone that he would personally talk to him and call me back directly to tell me what's going on. Well, I never got a call back from him so I called and now there's no answer at all.
I can't imagine how frustrating this could be if there was an issue with the ECM module he said he gives you, had an issue. Or you needed the tune adjusted. You might be out of a car for a while.
I run a business myself, so I'm always hesitant to say something about a company that may tarnish their reputation in public. But when a customer has paind in full for a product, promised a speedy delivery, and then a month later still has nothing and can't even talk to anyone about it, then I guess that's on the owner of the company. This is not how I run my business or how I believe a customer should be treated. I've been extremely patient and nice and all I needed was a phone call or even just an update from ANYONE.
Buyer beware. I guess I need to call my credit card company now.
If you still want a tune , buy a Diablo INTUNE and contact Diablo Lew ,
Lew has to be one of the best communicators I have ever dealt with . Sent my logs to him late on a Monday had my ECM / TCM tune early on Tuesday .
The best part off all this is , I can load the stock tune and put the car back to stock at any time ......
Takes you 5 minutes to upload a tune

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Chuck has been a vendor on here for a long time and has been quite popular, somewhat polarizing though too. You might try posting for someone in the NY area close by to look into the matter to get some idea of what is going on.
I also track my car, its a '12, with the A-6 transmission. GM updated the software so the car shifts better, I haven't missed a shift yet and shift about 6k rpm's. I had an -8 Z-51 optioned car and shifted that at 5k to make sure I wouldn't miss it. There is an article regarding what GM changed and the article also mentions that the program they use on the '12 can't be loaded into earlier year models. There are only generalizations, no specifics. I think I read about it in Corvette magazine.
Doesn't help your case, though I can say the '12 shifts quicker than the '08. There really isn't much sense holding engine rpm's much past 5k to 5500 anyway. These cars are torque monsters so you aren't losing much by shifting at 5500. I think the programming in the earlier cars wasn't fast enough so the transmission wouldn't shift as the engine rpms got closer to red line and you end up bouncing off the rev limiter.
As for your other problem, there may be something going on with the transmission as it heats up. You may want to monitor your transmission temps to see if there is a correlation. Mine works the same way whether at 100 degrees or 240 degrees. (I take cool down laps when it hits 240)

Thanks for everyone's imput, there's still no resolve with Chuck Cow. I'm having my credit card company deal with getting the money back for me, I've filed a claim. After multiple phones calls, messages on machines and with employees, emails and my statement on this forum which Chuck is on, I've heard nothing at all. There are people who answered the phone and know my situation as I explained it in detail to them, some told me he's on the other line and said they would personally talk to him about it, so he knows my situation as well, there's no excuse at this point and I'm confidant that they know my phone number and haven't answered because they know who I am and are avoiding my situation for whatever reason. Everyone can be their own judge on this matter, I'm only starring the facts here.
I think I will get a Diablo tune and buy the handheld device from a local vendor, then call for the custom tune.
Also I have an 11 GS not an 08. Just FYI.
I won't be swapping out my computer on my car with one from Chuck Cow putting myself in a position to be car-less if and when his computer he sent me brakes down or goes out and there's no one to help me other than the Chevy Dealer. Not to mention I don't want to do business with anyone who has avoided me for a month after receiving my full payment.
Just want my money back and we can go our own ways. It looks like this might get drug out even longer now if it is actually being shipped to me.

I'm not sure if he will try and refund me full or partial Paymet minus the restocking fee. Or if he will refund me at all. I've already made a claim to my CC and they will be handling it for me now.
Another rather funny thing is, when he told me on the phone it was too late to cancel and the item had already been shipped out, I looked up the tracking info and the unit actually had not been shipped, only a printing label was created. I have a picture of this for proof if anyone would like to see it. I'm saving it for my banks Investigation.
Again I'm not saying anything good or bad about anyone, just stating and quoting the facts of my situation in dealing with Chuck Cow.

Oh well, lesson learned. I'm confident that BofA will get the job done for me.
He didn't step up and take ownership. The way you described his attitude, given your patience, is unacceptable.
Forum vendors need to be held to a certain standard. Perhaps a 90 day 'vacation' (90 day ban) from the forum. If happens again, permanent ban.
Sorry, but we all put certain trust and faith with forum vendors. Step it up and provide good service or get out.
