There's a switch on the lower dash, to the left of the steering column, right about where your left knee would be. You probably bumped it while exiting/entering or cleaning. Happens all the time. Just push it once.
There is supposed to be a 20 minute time out for all electrics, not adjustable.

I did that when I first got my C6 a couple of years ago, drove me nuts until I figured it out.

I think we all have gone it, and then wondered why the map lights are on., so far did it twice, after cleaning the dash.
This issue was my first post as well on the c6 forum! We've all done it.
And if my memory serves, those lights do NOT go out after 10 or 20 minutes at all.. I think they stay on, at least on my 2005.
All lights, in all C6s (even 2005), should time out before the half-hour is up. If they don't, something is malfunctioning.
eta: I remember someone posting that his led replacement lights didn't ever go out due to the low amount of current they draw. Seems it was too low to trip the computer into shutting the lights off, or they were able to parasitically draw enough to stay lit, or some such.

I stand corrected. I checked mine and in 33 minutes they did shut off.
I didn't check to see if my battery is now dead....lol I don't think it is there's a trickle on it.
my 2 lights in the hatch will not time out if the hatch is ajar.have killed battery several times over the years
Thanks everyone.. I hit the button and problem is solved. I just bought my C6 on January 12th now that I'm finally able to drive it I'm sure I'll be asking other questions in the future
