Grand Sport Pads..2nd post for help...
Hi Guys I have a 2010 Grand Sport 4LT Heritage.
I have researched Brake pads even with my dealer, It seems I have The system same as the Z06.
I bought Pads from O'Reillys Premium Titanium,Graphite,Super golden,Blah blah blah pads... $266 for the set. THEY WERE WRONG...They were for the Coupe.
I purchased new OEM rotors from GM website.
I went to dealership today to purchase the correct pads and Found out they were $468 for the set...EEEEERRRK!!!
WTF?
Any ideas where I can Purchase Good pads at a decent price?
I dont see Pads and D&S rotors and me Doing the Swap for $1100

Got mine form AutoZone, Ceramic Gold pad-lets, did it about a year ago and glad I did, work just fine and dust almost non existent
As I remember it was around $125 for the whole deal with brake grease, cleaner and a new Torx socket, didn't want to bugger up the Guide bolts.
Went very smoothly for a novice, satisfying also since the dealer wanted a small fortune

OEM pads come with new bolts for the calipers. The aftermarket ones don't. Still a high price.
The dealer was charging full list price FYI. IF you want OEM our vendors (cultrag) have them for 33% off. Still ~$300 for front padlets and hardware.
edit : for clarification, was not saying OEM vs aftermarket were any better then each other. Some people have the preference of replacing with the OEM only.
Myself will be switching to the autozone ceramics when they are needed.

Cultrag is a great source on here but note there are several aftermarket brake rotor and pad vendors on here, too. There are also some one-pad replacements vs. individual padlets per wheel. You just have to search a little. I also have never heard of brake pads as you wrote in your post that are "for a coupe." Compared to what? a convertible?

The "Coupe" reference was non Grand Sport- Non Z series a factory Non GS and non Z series is Noted at being A "Coupe" Totally Different car when It comes to parts as you probably can figure. I look at my GS as a Z06 Without all the "Cheddar"
Thanks for the info

What kind of pad do you want? There are a number of different kinds out there from low dust street pads to full tilt race pads with prices all over the place.
StopTech has a nice set of performance pads for the cars that are one piece and drop right in without any issues for a good price. I think the entire car set is under $300 retail.
