I went with Kooks 1 7/8 long tubes, 3 inch off road X pipe. I didn't want to fool with having to replace cats when they go bad. Some complain about smell but its not very bad and doesn't bother me.
I bet it sounds pretty stout. Have you thought of experimenting with 93 or 94 octane Pure Gas (Non Ethanol). We have a machine shop near us that sells Non Ethanol 'Race Gas' in varying octanes. I bet your car would smell pretty awesome running pure gas. Or you could put in some Cherry Bomb fuel scent. One of my early memories of getting into Sports cars & Muscle Cars was because there was this guy I knew that ran Pure Gas in his 70 SS Nova. He also sometimes put some Cherry Bomb fuel scent in it. It's crazy how a scent of something can stay with you over the years & bring a memory right back.

It sounds pretty awesome. I love the sound and the Borla exhaust has zero drone on the highway/interstate. I had factory NPP and left it open all the time for the deep sound but it did drone quite a bit.
I always run at least 93 octane because of the compression and there is a local station here that has 93 non ethanol and I run it as much as I can. Never tried any fuel scent though. The only time I truly notice much of a smell is when it's cold and I crank it and let it warm up in the garage. But I and it sounds like you don't mind or even like the smell. I have friends who went with the high flow cats and they have both had to replace them after a year or two. I say if you don't have to pass emissions go off road X pipe. Now get ready for the cat guys to make a point.

I don't mind the scent of pure gas & no cats. It probably can't be healthy for you though- lol. I sold my Corvette last year. I'm just saving up some $'s gradually & then will pull the trigger on another Corvette. I just haven't decided which model. I'm thinking C7Z or a late edition C6 Zo6, 12 or 13. I'll see what happens when Summer comes around or maybe wait until late next Winter.

Good luck on a purchase. I'd think you could find a decent deal on a low mileage 12 or 13 but I'd like to have a C7 myself. I've been thinking that maybe in a couple of years finding a 17 GS with low miles on it.

I'd like the C7 too, but with the C6 Zo6 weighing in at 3,130 lb vs. C7 Zo6 at 3,524 lb...I kinda like the idea of having a slightly lighter weight car. I imagine the price point for the C6Z will be more obtainable for me like you said. I'm also not quite sold on the cylinder deactivation/direct injection. I'd have to do a bunch more research to see if really want to set my sights on the C7 Z or GS.
