I'm sending my heads out for some work (good ol' LS7) and while it is apart, I was curious if there is any benefit or harm in adding a rear coolant crossover. It appears to be pretty simple to do.
Does it help with coolant bleeding or help out with any cooling on the rear cylinders? Is there any harm in doing it - lost pressure in the rear of the head or somesuch?
It helps with both. With both ports venting there is little to nowhere for air to be trapped. And it helps cool the rear cylinders. No downside that I can think of.
