Default Gear does not shift!

Supercharged A6 c6 2008.
Suddenly gear stuck in 2nd and won't shift up or down. Switched off and on and problem gone but code is appearing. What does this mean! On inspection got this:

Diagnostic Fault Information

The following fault table will help determine if a hydraulic circuit or an incorrect position of a valve train component affects the transmission operation.

Circuit/System Description



The clutch pressure control (PC) solenoid 5 is integral to the control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly and has no serviceable parts. The PC solenoid 5 is a normally high-pressure control solenoid which provides fluid pressure to the 1-2-3-4 clutch regulator valve. The TCM controls the solenoid pressure by regulating the exhaust fluid. When the TCM commands the solenoid off, the exhausting fluid is stopped and the 1-2-3-4 pressure is high. When commanded on, the clutch PC solenoid 5 regulates the amount of exhausting transmission fluid. Solenoid power is supplied by the TCM through a high side driver (HSD). The HSD protects the circuits and components that the TCM powers. Should the circuit overload the driver will shutdown. After the overload is removed the HSD reset.

Just to update you. I have changed the Trans fluid. It was less than required level. I was told it causes similar issue. Now it is normal, but am not going full throttle due high boost problems.

Had that to happen on my 08 and they replaced the shift solenoid and some of the valve body.

Problem is back now.
Error is p2724
Solenoid valve 5 stuck on. It goes into limp mode. I changed the "solenoid pack" and filter but came back in a day time.
Could this be mechanical or is that pure electrical?
