Default Airbag light

I removed my pass seat for weight savings at drag strip. Now my airbag light stays on. My question is it alright to race with it on, or do I have to do something to the computer. Thanks for any help.

Default

The connectors are cheap and not meant to be opened and closed more than once or twice. Chances are the wires pulled back in the socket and are not making a good connection. Remove the bolts and tilt the seat forward and work very closely on the connections, ensure the wires are all tucked well into the sockets and that the sockets are well connected, make sure resistance across the socket is low if you have the capability with a multimeter. Then I'd suggest zip tying the connector together and zip tying it to the seat frame as mine fell from the factory attachment to the seat frame and was dragging on the carpet when the seat moved.

These steps cured my intermittent air bag light.
