Hello all - just looking for some extra guidance on this issue. I am able to get the crossover pipe into the driver side tank with only 1mm left until the retaining ring clips in.
The two lines inside are successfully connected (and tested) to the tank. I even tested them and ran the car with no issue. I just can't get the crossover itself to go 1 more mm so I can clip it in.
The only thing I can think of is to take it back out and lube everything up. Does anyone have any suggestions?

side tank?are you putting the clip on first and then installing factory original line?
looks like my crossover is jacked. gotta order a new one the retaining clips for the hoses in side are broken
There is a dude on YouTube that had a broken section that I think your are talking about and somehow he fixed it with small screws and was able to reinstall the crossover. Sorry, don't have a link, but does that sound feasible? I think it was at the tank side that he had issues with.

Thanks - I saw that video. Unfortunately I broke the piece inside the crossover pipe that holds the lines together, not the one inside the tank. I tried to expoy the piece but it didn't hold. Ordered the new one - it'll be here monday. Thanks for the help everyone!

Will update on how it goes.
I know this is an old post but do you have the part number for the replacement clips? I broke mine as well and need a new one ASAP, like tomorrow
For future reference to help others, I bought a pack of GM and Ford fuel injection hose plastic clip inserts that were hanging on the shelf at Advance Auto Parts, cut a little off of it and it worked perfect
